Laser Therapy
Laser therapy has been used for many years and was first proposed in 1916 by Einstein!
It is also called Low Level Laser Therapy, LLLT, Low Intensity Laser Therapy, LILT, Cold Laser and Photobiomodulation.
All cells respond to light, certain wavelengths of light can stimulate or inhibit cellular function according to it's intensity and the time applied. Lasers and LED's produce intense beams of light at specific wavelengths. When the right wavelength at the right intensity is used at the correct anatomical location for the right amount of time you can stimulate repair, resolve inflammation and reduce pain.

At Centaur Massage Therapy we use a Class 3B laser so there is no photo thermal risk just all the benefits of laser.

Laser therapy is used in both human and equine treatments or can be offered as a stand alone treatment.
